Grassroots Training Consultancy

Grassroots has developed a wealth of experience and expertise about suicide prevention. We provide a range of consultancy services to ASIST trainers who want to develop their skills and training expertise. We are also available to consult with organisations wishing to develop their suicide prevention approach, or to commission bespoke training. ASIST Consulting Trainers

We have a lot of experience of providing support to new trainers and remember how daunting it can feel to begin with, and also how rewarding. Probationary ASIST trainers may wish to enlist a more experienced Consulting Trainer to support them in delivering their first 3 courses in order to achieve registration with LivingWorks. Other ASIST trainers may needs support during a difficult time, or may simply want to be supported in working with the ASIST Trainer Competencies. Grassroots is able to offer the following types of support:

On-board support: A registered Consulting Trainer will attend your training and support you in your delivery. Our consulting trainer rate is £600 per course and covers the Consulting Trainer's time over the two days, including debriefing both days. Our hourly consultation rate for any preparation and planning prior to the course, or any coaching sessions after the course, is £30 an hour.

Probationary ASIST trainers who took their Training for Trainers course with Grassroots are eligible for a 30% discount on their first use of an on-board Consulting Trainer.

Remote support: We also offer Consulting Trainer support to ASIST trainers via telephone or email. Our hourly rate for this is £60. We will deal with your email requests as and when, then invoice after one or two hours? work have built up. Phone calls would need a little prior arrangement. We round up any telephone consultancy to the nearest half hour.

On call: We can arrange for a Consulting Trainer to be on-call for the duration of your ASIST course in order to provide telephone input if needed. This can help you to feel more confident in your delivery, and to troubleshoot any queries you may have. The cost of having an on-call Consulting Trainer is £100 per course.

Suicide Prevention Consultancy

We have worked with many organisations to help them implement a coherent approach to suicide prevention. This type of consultancy includes our designing bespoke training packages to support suicide/self injury prevention work with specific client groups. Please contact us for our latest daily rate for this kind of consultancy.

We are happy to offer a 10% discount on suicide prevention consultancy to charities or other non-profit organisations.
